MidSolid FAQ
Formulations, Ingredients & Design Process, Quality & Logistics

Do you offer White Label formulations?

We do. We provide a selection of quality, pre-developed formulations that allow you to bring a product to market quickly without the need for research and development. This is a great option for brands looking for a proven, retail-ready product.

Who is MidSolid Press & Pour's ideal client?

A medium sized company who has outgrown their current manufacturer and is looking for that next step.

Can you work with my custom or proprietary formulation?

Absolutely. We specialize in bringing your unique vision to life. Our team will perform a technical review of your formulation to ensure it translates perfectly to our high-volume production equipment while maintaining the integrity of your recipe.

Is MidSolid Press & Pour a good place to start a cosmetics company from the ground up?

Unfortunately not. Our MOQ is much higher than most startup companies are able to afford.

Can you help my brand meet Clean Beauty standards?

Yes. We are experts in formulating within the strict parameters of the "Clean Beauty" movement. Whether your brand requires sulfate-free, paraben-free, or 100% vegan ingredients, we work closely with you to ensure your bars meet the specific requirements your customers expect.

What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?

Our standard minimum order is 5,000 units per formulation (which equates to approximately 625 lbs of product).

What is the pH level of your standard bars?

Our standard bars typically range between 5.0 and 6.5. We prioritize this range because it is the "sweet spot" for hair and scalp health, ensuring the hair cuticle remains smooth and the scalp's natural moisture barrier is protected.

Can I order less than the MOQ?

To maintain the precision and efficiency of our industrial equipment, we require a minimum of 5,000 bars (roughly 625 lbs) per batch. This ensures the highest quality consistency for your brand.

What is your production capacity?

MidSolid is built for scale. We currently have the capacity to produce 8,000 shampoo bars and 8,000 conditioner bars daily. While we are equipped for smaller runs, the majority of our partners place orders in the tens or hundreds of thousands of units.

If the MOQ is 4,000 pieces, can that amount be split between multiple batches?

No, this is the smallest size batch that our equipment can operate properly.

Does MidSolid Press & Pour make liquid products?

No, we only make solid products like solid shampoo and solid conditioner.

Can I order a sample batch before committing to a full run?

We believe in building long-term partnerships, so we make the sampling process as accessible as possible. We treat sample batches as a service rather than a profit center. You simply pay a fair price for the materials and labor required to get your prototype perfect before moving to mass production.

Does MidSolid Press & Pour offer a product catalog?

No, there are far too many options in terms of raw materials, fragrances, etc. to ever try to build a product catalog. The best option is to reach out to us and tell us exactly what it is you are looking for and go from there. Here is the contact page link.

What is the typical lead time from deposit to delivery?

Lead times generally range from one to three months, depending on the size of the order and ingredient availability. We pride ourselves on transparent project management, so we provide clear timelines and consistent communication from the moment your deposit is placed until the product leaves our floor.

Where do you source your ingredients?

Consistency is key in beauty manufacturing. We source all of our raw materials from trusted, large-scale suppliers. This ensures that every batch we produce meets the same high standards for purity, safety, and performance.

Is your facility FDA-registered or GMP-compliant?

Yes. We adhere to the FDA's cosmetic labeling and manufacturing guidelines, and we are GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliant. This means our facility meets the industry standards for cleanliness, safety, and professional documentation.

Do you offer custom shapes and sizes?

We offer a variety of standard shapes and sizes that are ready for immediate production. If your brand requires a signature look, we can also develop something custom for you. While custom tooling involves an initial investment, it allows you to create a truly unique physical identity for your product.

Do you perform batch-by-batch quality checks?

Quality control is at the heart of our process. We perform checks on every batch we produce. As part of our GMP compliance, we retain samples from every production run to ensure full traceability and long-term quality assurance for your brand.

Do you ship internationally?

We are happy to work with your freight company to facilitate international shipments. In these cases, the client is responsible for all specific import requirements, customs, and duties. We provide all the necessary manufacturing documentation to help your shipment clear customs as smoothly as possible.
